AFFORDABLE MAKEUP FAVS

Want to grab some new makeup but can’t afford it? Don’t worry, I got you covered.

Obviously, I know what it’s like to be a broke b**** – like, I love makeup, duh. I’ve even maxed out my AfterPay account and was banned from using it because I spent so much money on it, buying makeup. It’s an addiction, and I totally understand what you’re going through with wanting to splurge on some new purchases. So, for all of you who don’t have a lot of money to spend on makeup but really need something new to add to your collection (I mean, replace from your collection, you know, because you used it all)… then this is for you.

Here are some of my favourite products that I find amazing, but don’t hurt your bank account too much.

Sephora Collection, Teint Infusion Ethereal Natural Finish Foundation – $23.00

I really like this foundation, and for the price, it works pretty well. It’s lightweight and you can build up the coverage, which makes it a perfect all rounder from winter to summer. I found it to be somewhat hydrating, which is always a plus when it comes to foundation, because we don’t want to end up with gross, cakey looking foundation slathered on our faces. The only downside is that the shade range isn’t that great, and because I have fairly light skin, I had to get some lightening drops to add into it.

Crush Cosmetics, 35O Eyeshadow Palette – $31.00

Now, if you’re a sucker for neutral coloured eyeshadow, like I am… Then this is perfect for you. Not only is this brand a perfect dupe for Morphe eyeshadows, but the quality is just as good as Morphe. The colours are extremely blendable and buildable, they’re super nice to work with and it doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg.

E.L.F, Highlighting Pearl Paint – $12.00

Oh my goodness. I remember when I first got this product on sale for a banging $1.00 – it was a dream and I didn’t want to wake up. This highlight is so unreal, I literally used it over my whole body and even forced my partner to let me put it on his face. It’s glowy, super buildable, easy to apply and it smells good. It’s also really cheap. One of my favourites, hands down. It comes in two shades at Kmart, Moonbeam and Pink Lady.

Maybelline, Lash Sensational Mascara – $21.95

Thankfully, this mascara is almost always on sale. Wether you get it from Kmart, Safeway, Coles or Chemist Warehouse… You’ll most likely always get it for less than the retail price. This is my go-to mascara, it’s cheap, it doesn’t clump and it’s just really bloody great.

BH Cosmetics, 11 Piece Luxe Brush Set – $49.95

So, these aren’t going to really break your bank, but it definitely is an amazing investment if you’re looking for some super reliable makeup brushes. These were the first proper brushes I ever bought and that was about four years ago now. They’re still perfect and I prefer to use them over my Sigma brushes. Weird, right? They’re literally that amazing. The bullet brush used for your eyeshadow is quite literally my holy grail. I kid you not.

Designer Brands, Stick Foundation – $14.99

Now if you’re really looking for foundation on a budget that isn’t horrible quality, then this is a pretty rad find. The stick foundation is a bit thicker than liquid foundation but I find that it’s perfect for those who like to really build up their coverage. Put a flame to the foundation for a couple of seconds and then apply to your face, and bam, your foundation will glide right on and you can blend it until the cows come home. Again, the only downfall is the lack of shade range.

Australis, GRLBOSS Demi Matte Lip Cream – $14.95

If you’re looking for a great liquid lip that isn’t a million dollars, then this is a great product for you. These lipsticks are easy to apply, they’re demi-matte so they aren’t super drying on your lips and they have an amazing shade range. Some of these are my go-to colours and if these were discontinued, I would probably struggle to find an equally as great product to replace it.

W7, Prime Magic Primer – $2.50

Okay, I know what you’re thinking… $2.50?! Is this girl insane? It has to be a crap product! WRONG! This is one of my absolute favourite primers, and I have so many high end brand primers, and I still choose this one nine times out of ten. Why? Because it’s bloody amazing. It’s so silky to apply and it primes your skin so perfectly. Every single time I use it, my skin is super hydrated and my makeup applies flawlessly. You cannot go wrong with this primer.

Of course, there are so many products I could write down on this list, but these are pretty much the essentials and reasonably priced, so if you’re ever in need of a new foundation or lipstick, be sure to check a couple of these items out.

What are your affordable makeup favourites and why? I would love to know!

  • So in love with my @littlesomethingsleepwear personalised pj’s 🥰

They are SO luxurious and they’ve just recently expanded their size range, which is perfect because Christmas is just around the corner 🎄

Swipe to see some bloopers with my puppers 🐶 They wanted to be in the photos!
  • My body is just as good as a thin body and deserves just as much respect. I am going to continue to take up the same amount of space I always have and I will never apologise for it. My body does wonderful things and I will love it forever ❤️
  • COSMETIC INJECTIONS ‼️ SWIPE FOR BEFORE AND AFTER ‼️ I was so lucky to have @cosmeticnursebrittany reach out to me to see how she could help me with cosmetic injections. I jumped at the chance because one of my biggest insecurities is my mouth as it lifts weirdly on one side and goes gummy!

We did a simple procedure (that takes literally a minute), called a lip flip!! Just four simple injections of Botox to relax the muscles a little and pull the lip back/up to make the lips look poutier 👄

In the before and afters (before top, after bottom) you can see that my smile would pull to one side/go gummy on one side when I would smile open mouth. I really didn’t like this so @cosmeticnursebrittany helped even that up and I am SO BLOODY HAPPY with the results!!!! I am literally over the moon because it’s something so simple to help fix something I didn’t really like. All whilst still keeping a natural look 🥰

I booked with Brittany at Chadstone Shopping Centre but she’s also at a couple of other locations across Melbourne! I 100% trust her and I will definitely be going back to get fillers next as well as take my mum to her for some Botox too 🤗

Cheeky swipe to the last one and you can see a video of me getting my lip flip done! *I had the procedure done two weeks ago - that’s not bruising it’s the phone shadow in the lighting
  • I was lucky enough to be invited to take part in a very important photoshoot and the topic is something very close to me and something I will always promote.

#everybodyisabikinibody is something that I would love to scream from the rooftops and project to the entire world - but sadly, social media and societal standards discourage people from being happy in their own bodies. They project the idea that everyone has to have the perfect ratio body, flawless skin and to die for looks; but the honest truth is that you can look however you want to look.

My body may be fat and wonky, but I love it and I will wear my skin with pride. Every single person, no matter their size, shape, skin colour or age should be able to feel good about themselves - and they should definitely be able to go to the beach or pool and wear whatever the heck they want without being judged or criticised.

The photoshoot I was a part of showcases and highlights the point that we are all beautiful and all entitled to be comfortable and happy in our skin. I did struggle when I was younger to enjoy my body, and as I got older it became more apparent that i had to be skinny to fit in - but that’s so far from the truth, it’s crazy. It took me a long time and it was a long journey to become comfortable with my body and the way it looked, but the journey was so worth it that I wouldn’t change it for the world ❤️ If you want to do something but fear you can’t because of the way you look - remember that it’s okay to be scared and it’s more than okay to go against what society tells you. It’s okay to be yourself and love yourself.
Photos are coming soon ❤️
  • Learning to love yourself is not just loving yourself in the good times, but also loving yourself when you’re goofing off and letting your double chin and rolls flap around 🤣

I promised I would show you the authentic me - and this is me 100%! Goofy, loud and playful 😜

Embrace yourself in ALL of your forms. Every single one of them. I promise you will enjoy yourself 100x more ❤️
  • Free and fabulous in @esprliaplus ❤️ Absolutely in love with this dress. It’s so cute and such a 50s vibe!

  • Remember: you are allowed to take up space no matter your condition or appearance. You are valuable to our society and to your friends and family. You’re special and you should know that.

I used to tell myself I couldn’t do specific things because of my weight. That I was too fat - but honestly, f**k it! I’m on this earth and I demand to be taken seriously and seen as a person: because I AM.

So chuck that lingerie on, wear that crop top, show off those legs... do the things you never thought possible. Stuff other people’s opinions because they don’t matter! #standup
  • Still obsessing over this shoot with @everydaylingerieco 🥰 I wear my ELC undies all the time and they’re so damn comfy.
