Recently I was gifted some products from my lovely friends over at Crio Brü and since I’ve had them for over a week now, I’ve had a chance to really try them and their benefits.

What is Crio Brü? They are a company that sells coffee alternatives made from 100% roasted cocoa beans. There is no sugar, no gluten, no dairy and no fillers in their products and it’s filled to the brim with anti-oxidants, minerals and energy. Crio Brü have stated that their products contain “a natural stimulant called theobromine which is gentle, long-lasting and non-addictive.”

I was lucky enough to choose some of the products I wanted to try, and of course, I headed straight for the Lunar Latte and the Velvet Latte. Duh. Who doesn’t want pink or purple drinks? These two are absolutely phenomenal and I can’t recommend these two products enough.

The Lunar Latte is made up of chamomile, lavender, passionflower, purple carrots and Reishi mushroom – it definitely sounds like an odd combination, but these ingredients mixed together create the perfect pre bed drink to get you into that sleepy state. Personally, I suffer from insomnia and restlessness, especially at night time, and after trying this for a week, I can definitely say that this has helped put my mind at ease before bed and help me sleep.

Did you know that the Lunar Latte gets it’s purple colour from the anthocyanins (antioxidants) found in the purple carrot?

Velvet Latte is made up of beetroot, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, black pepper and whilst the peppers may make you turn your head and not want to try it… all I can say is, it doesn’t taste like pepper and it’s really delicious. I was a bit hesitant with this one when I read all the ingredients, but once I tasted it, a chai flavour erupted in my mouth and I was in heaven. Now, this one is packed full of goodness, the web page for the Velvet Latte states that “Beetroot is brilliant for detoxification, boosting energy and stamina, and lowering blood pressure. Beets are high in immune-boosting vitamin C, fiber, and essential minerals like potassium (vital for healthy nerve and muscle function) and manganese (which is good for your bones, liver, kidneys, and pancreas). Beets also contain the B vitamin folate.”

Along with the superfood lattes, I was given one of their main products, the Cavalla – and it literally tastes like chocolate goodness; but healthy. Who would have thought that chocolate can be healthy? It has hints of coconut and cinnamon, but they are very subtle. Honestly, I hate coconut, and I couldn’t even taste it – bonus! This was delicious with a dash of milk and some biscuits.

One product I was given, I had heard about and seen in my local shops – Rooibos tea. I’d heard that this product was great for vitamin c and anti-oxidants, so when I received the Red Espresso, I was excited to try this as it was always something I was hesitant to try. This one, I have definitely had more than once and it’s also my partners favourite out of everything I was gifted, so it’s nearly all finished. Surprisingly, it has 5x more anti-oxidants than green tea and it has no additives, no GMOs, no caffeine and no sugar – that is amazing for myself as I don’t do well with caffeine, sugar and I need all the anti-oxidants I can get.

Lastly, the Pumpkin Spice which was definitely not what I was expecting! I didn’t think I would like it, but I was pleasantly surprised as I tasted spicy hints, almost like a chai latte. This product is described as “rich, warm, all-natural cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves blended with premium, chocolaty cocoa grounds” – which is definitely correct!

Overall, I’m super happy with all of these products, and I will definitely be ordering more when I run out of my favourites in the future – and I’m also keen to try out some of the other products, like the other superfood lattes. I just can’t resist those pretty colours.

I was lucky to be given a promotion code to use for the rest of May – so if you wan’t to head over and buy something (they sell samples, too), then don’t forget to chuck in code “BO10” for 10% off your order – I do not receive anything in return or gain commission if you use this code, it’s purely because I love these products and want to share it with my followers.

Check out my Instagram post about these products here! Photos on the Instagram post are taken by myself.

  • Often people tend to ignore their own signs that their mental health is struggling. Why is that? Do we not want help or are we subconsciously trying to prove we are stronger than we actually are?

Either way, it’s important to take note of how you are doing. Check in on yourself. Be your own support. Listen to your mind and your body and take action when you notice yourself slipping.

I’m lucky to have my partner to pull me up on myself but when he doesn’t, I have to rely on myself to get a grip of what’s happening.

It’s okay to be struggling. It’s okay to need help and it’s definitely okay to not be okay all the time. Personally, I struggle with my mental health a lot... I have borderline personality disorder as well as chronic anxiety and depression. It’s definitely a tough road and I do slip up and fall into dark patterns, but what’s important is that I realise this instead of ignore it ❤️ Reach out when you need help. People would rather listen to you than see you in a casket.
  • HEY YOU!! Did you know you can wear a bikini to the beach... no matter your body type? Shocked? Well don’t be!

  • It’s always important to remember that as a human being, we deserve respect and to be treated equally. No matter what.

It doesn’t matter what your size, age, race, gender or sexuality is. We each deserve to be treated with respect and compassion as in the end, we are all the same.

Treat people with kindness and love. You never know what someone is going through or what they’ve been through in the past.
  • I just can’t get over how incredible @glaminatrix_cosmetics is. Truly an inspiring small business. From hand making every single product to watching her grow as a business is amazing 🥰

  • When I was younger I was always such a happy and carefree child. I remember I was never bothered about my appearance or how I looked... because I was a child.

Obviously that changed when I got to the end of primary school when people started noticing my weight. And then I entered high school and there was so much pressure and a lot of jabs and bullying from other people - I did ignore it but it was always there, deep down, destroying my self confidence. I’ll admit, on the outside, I didn’t care. I would dress how I want but then there would be small actions or words I would say that let the strong facade crack. I was miserable inside and by my mid to late teens, I hated myself completely. I was disgusting to myself and would hurt myself because I couldn’t change my appearance.

Fast forward to 18 and I got into my first serious relationship and now at 23, I have never been so sure or so confident in my skin. I had been deprived of the self love and loving comments for most of my life, and now I have this every day and I’m HAPPY 👏🏻 I had been given a support system to lean on that eventually, I learned to love myself for ME ❤️ What’s one thing you wish you could tell your younger self? Mine would be to keep doing you and not let the petty high school life get to you. You’re worth so much more than that.
  • “There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.” One of my favourite things about the internet and @instagram in general is that it gives everyone the opportunity to find and create new friendships. Friendships that mean something.

Our little #bopo family is so special to me. We are always there for each other and we understand each other. It’s so beautiful that we can come together and be there for the same reason, and create beautiful friendships from just coming together.

I’ll always stand with my #bopofamily forever and always. It’s something so close to my heart ❤️ Photography by @_chloesmithphotography_ for the #loveyourbeachbody shoot
